Other Work
LBelow are a number of pieces I've recently completed and some I've done in past years. The landscapes are of places in Manitoba that I've visited. The "Polar Dreams" (Polar Bears) is a small series I'm working on - there will be 20 of these 9"x12" pieces. If you are interested in purchasing any of these, feel free to contact me at my through the blog or e-mail.

About the Art
Moving from a realistic approach to imaginary and futurist pieces, I share with the viewer my imagination. There is a story that can told about a journey, a position in life, or a situation. This has been a satisfying experience, were I am experimenting with colour techniques and mediums. From the tiniest pieces to larger works, each share a hidden part of me.
My choice of medium is acrylic, I like the vibrant colours available, and the quick drying time. This allows me to the opportunity to add glazes and layer the details in each painting.
In recent years I have learned to work in Encaustic wax even though is temperamental and takes on a life of it's own with the way it flows over the paper, I enjoy the way each piece is unique, and the colours are so vibrant. Melting each colours together, and beside each other is interesting to see how they in the end come together.
I enjoy watercolour and ink as well, as have done a number of these in over the years. Occasionally I will get the old oil paints out. Working in oil is a special experience, so easy to blend and manipulate on the canvas. I find painting and drawing enjoyable, and continue to work on developing my skills. As an emerging professional artists there is much to learn, and one life time will only allow me to begin the process.
